Lawrence Willet, born in Macon, Georgia, November 10, 1896, was the son of Hugh Miller Willet and Lucy Lester Willet. In 1918, he married Julia Brantley. In 1929 he was the first Georgian designated as a Charter D Life Underwriter by the American College of Life Underwriters.
